- Business continuity professionals who did not change jobs between 2009 and 2010 were rewarded with an average percent change of a 6% increase in total compensation. Those business continuity professionals who did change jobs between 2009 and 2010 noticed an average percent change of a 3% increase in total compensation. The weekly BCM Research Data Point is: Who (by job title) is completely engaged and sponsoring the Business Continuity Management program? How involved is the individual... really? According to the 2011 BCM Annual Study results..... - 71.1% of study participants note that a chief officer or above is completely engaged and sponsoring the business continuity management program. - 50.8% note that this individual was at a zero level of separation from the executive management committee. The follow up question is please rate how involved this individual is in business continuity planning initiatives. For those respondents noting a chief officer or above as completely engaged in the program, 31.8% gave the individual an approval rating of 4-5 on a rating scale of 1-5 with 1 meaning “Very Little Involvement” and 5 meaning “Very Involved”.
