Compensation:  $100,000-120,000

CBCP certified Business Continuity Specialist with over 16 years of DR/BC experience, this candidate has worked as a
corporate  employee for a Fortune 500 company and as a contract consultant in multiple industries in all venues of business continuity and disaster recovery planning,  including:
- Department-level Business Impact Analyses (BIA) for a financial systems leader and a Risk Analysis for a major healthcare organization.
- Emergency response planning and participation as a member of an organization’s emergency response teams.
- Planning, installation, and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans utilizing MS Word-based and industry tools such as SunGard’s LDRPS (Living Disaster Recovery Planning Systems) and PreCovery products.
- Pandemic, crisis management, command center and third-party documentation.
- Team leader/user software training for an industry-leading product (LDRPS 9.1.2 and 10.0) via on-site and WebEx based sessions.
- Development and execution of multi-team table-top exercises with senior management follow-up via  an implementation list of gaps and exposures.
- An Information Protection Analysis of tape backup, rotation, archival and storage processes.
- The chairing of the semi-monthly Alliance Meeting with US and European site coordinators to provide updates to the group and act as a liaison for issue escalation and resolution between the satellite locations and the corporate office.
- A successful software migration from Strohl Systems LDRPS 9.1.2 to version 10.0 and the installation of system security and user website portal access.
- Administrative responsibility for the NotiFind automated notification system utilized across the enterprise to provide real-time event/situational alerts.
- The candidate can provide an immediate impact to the organization and is open to working in either an individual or team player setting.   Additionally, he/she seeks a company utilizing or is contemplating the implementation of an industry software product.

Role Description:
Advisory Consultants are senior level individuals who participate in a wide range of IT DR process related consulting
engagements.  These projects may include risk assessment, business impact analysis (BIA), requirements definition and solution design as related to business continuity and disaster recovery.  The work may also include implementing solutions including new process components, organizational structures or policies.  Individuals may also participate in business case development and financial analyses.

Responsibilities:
 - Reports directly to the BCM Regional Director
 
 
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to participate in the analysis and design of a client BC/DR environment including existing processes and
technology.
- Experience or exposure to wide range technology  
- Experience with Disaster Recovery planning, analysis and implementation is required
- Certification in one or more Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery organizations (BCBP, DRI, etc.) is desired.
- Exposure to ITIL process implementation is a plus.

Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Experience:
- Show at-least least 7 to 10 years of proven real world experience in one or more of the following areas:
  ·   DR for Data Center management/operations
·     DR for server & storage
·     DR for network and applications
·    Operational recovery/high availability

General Skills Required:

• This Consulting position in the CTS DR Practice must have a strong understanding of the BC/DR discipline and more than one year of hands on experience delivering successful consulting engagement to customers. This position is a resource who has demonstrable experience with presentation, documentation, sales or sales support and consulting service delivery skills. This position must able to participate in a large range of BC/DR consulting projects and will be expected to build appropriate solutions for CTS customers.
• Knowledge must be based on actual current technology and project experience and thought leadership roles. This is not a theory role or merely an SME role. This position needs to be highly consultative in nature and will be expected to directly contribute to the growth of the CTS DR practice through engagement delivery and refinement of its services, methodology and framework.
• Candidate must have strong process, project management and communication skills.  Candidate will be expected to develop white papers and present at Industry Related conferences. Recent experience in this presentation area should be easy to demonstrate.
• Up-to-date CBCP, MBCP and/or other relevant disaster recovery certifications is a serious plus. ITIL knowledge helpful.

Technology Skills:
Experience and expertise expected in the following areas.  While experience in two or more areas is desirable, it is not
necessary to have experience in all areas.
 • Data Center:  Infrastructure Applications (OS, DB, Replication, Data Protection, especially as it relates to Recovery solutions and testing), Consolidation, Power and Cooling, Migration and relocation
• Managed Services:  familiarity with collocation, hosting, outsourcing and managed services concepts, offerings and providers
• Network: WAN, LAN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, switches and routers
• Storage Technologies: Strong experience in storage vendor BC/DR, Disc Storage and replication solutions: e.g., EMC products (SRDF, RecoverPoint, Networker, Avamar, Data Domain), Network Appliance, Sun Storagetek, HP EVA or
Storagework.
• Virtualization: Experience with the leading virtualization technology vendors including Vmware, Microsoft (Hyper-V), Citrix (XenServer) and others. Design, implementation and architecture experience a plus.

Additional Skills:
Generally required are advanced analytical skills, detail orientation and project management, accuracy with good organizational skills. Successful candidates must also possess excellent interpersonal and team based skills, be able to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and work under time constraints in a matrix environment. Proposal development, client sales, service delivery and international work experience is relevant to this position and considered a plus.   Additional skills should include:

- Supporting the clients Incident Commander in a chief of staff capacity and subject matter expert in the event of potential and actual crisis situations

Skills and Requirements: 
-8 + years providing professional, specialized skills, including, but not limited to, business continuity planning, project management, disaster recovery planning, risk analysis and problem resolution.
-Proven experience and ability to effectively lead a Business Continuity Program for a global bank, communicate with senior management, peers, or auditors, regulatory examiners and clients.
-This individual is a subject matter expert in their field; Has established and/or lead business continuity efforts at other organizations, listens well/utilizes information; shares ideas and information; develops rapport with other employees; pays attention to detail; manages time and priorities; demonstrates effective problem solving skills; portrays a positive attitude; flexible; adjusts well to change; complies with company standards/policies/procedures; displays professionalism.
