Job Summary
The CMBC Analyst provides professional, specialized skills that include the configuration, and operation, of software, and related infrastructure in support of both the Crisis Management function and the Business Continuity program.  The analyst assists the department with analysis and design related to the testing and rolling out of products in support of Business Continuity as well as supporting the business units in completing BIAs & BRPs . The analyst will ensure the information collected in the CMBC systems is such as BRP/BIA plans, Risk Assessments, Training documentation, and Emergency Notification Contacts are properly maintained. The analyst will assist in centralized reporting and administration of the CMBC unit; and serves as a one of the departmental interfaces with internal and external counterparts.
 
Tasks to Complete:
  1. Crisis Management (10%)
    1. Manage and administer file updates for the Mass Notification System and the Archer System.
    2. Structure and assist in the execution of Notification Exercises
    3. Maintain accurate call lists (trees) for the CMT and LCMT
    4. Maintain metrics for all CMT and LCMT events
    5. Maintain a Crisis Management Center (physical and logical) for use at time of disaster

  2. Business Continuity (65%)
    1. Manage and execute the file updates into the Archer System for Employees, submitters, reviewers and approvers.
    2. Manage the Risk Assessment program, the BIA updates, and the BRP updates by launching the request, monitoring the responses and assisting in the reporting of the results.
    3. Operate as a help desk for the Business Continuity Program

  3. Training (15%)
    1. Prepare, maintain and execute training sessions for CMBC awareness events
    2. Participate in the development, scheduling and presentation of Crisis Management Training for all teams.
    3. Develop, maintain and execute the training sessions for the BIA, BRP submitters, reviewers and approvers.
    4. Manage the attendance and compliance with all CMBC training
    5. Attend periodic training conducted by outside entities to maintain currency in the CMBC field

  4. Exercises and Events (10%)
    1. Participate in the preparation and execution of scenario based exercises that include the Business units aimed at developing proficiency in the response to events.
    2. Participate in actual CMT and / or LCMT events by coordinating the contacts and disseminating updates as available.
    3. Maintain accurate documentation on all events and exercises
    4. Prepare after action reports on all events.

Key Responsibilities: 
The Global Technology & Operations area within COMPANY is seeking a New York metro-based crisis management expert with at least 10 years of relevant experience to lead the Crisis Management function at COMPANY. He or she will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Security and Chief Security Officer.

Responsibilities
• Improves and maintains the global framework for crisis management. Builds and maintains crisis and incident management strategies and executable plans.
• Develops and maintains crisis communications protocols and channels including COMPANY’s mass notification tool and Crisis Management intranet site, among others.
• Develops exercise scenarios, training materials and drives crisis preparedness and response awareness content for all employees.
• Supports regional security teams during responses to major crises, and coordinates necessary corporate response while informing or engaging the enterprise-level senior management team, as appropriate.

Managed Emergency Response Teams and was the lead Component planner for robust Alternate Facilities and Devolution Facilities. Had best-rated Component scores of entire federal department in last four annual continuity deployment exercises. Was Component point of contact for Anthrax Medical Countermeasures Point of Dispensing program and member of the Department Pandemic Workforce Protection Program. Was Component Emergency Preparedness contact, and developed the Component Emergency Action Plan, to include evacuation and shelter-in-place. Led Active-Shooter resilience training. While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, often supervised platoons of over 65 personnel, and had personally led combat patrols in Panama. Have been guest presenter at FEMA Interagency COOP Working Group meetings, and acted as primary instructor for several FEMA courses of instruction.Other past duties included serving on the multi-agency working group in 2008 for the Nuclear/Radiological Incident Annex to support the then-new National Response Framework (NRF). Additional tasks included duty with the DHS National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Working group, led by the DHS Front Office to support the National Security Staff to provide seamless transition from the HSPD-3 Homeland Security Advisory System.
