Mission of BC Management's Benchmarking Advisory Board:
The mission of BC Management’s International Benchmarking Advisory Board is to generate awareness of business continuity management principles by providing comprehensive global research and benchmark data. This research data may be used to provide guidance on industry metrics to support business continuity management principles. The survey, which began in 2001, typically covers over 50 topics and receives detailed responses from over 1,500 companies around the world and is emerging as the preeminent source of data covering the industry. The data is compiled into a detailed report that helps practitioners assess gaps within their continuity programs (e.g., staffing, skills, funding, program maturity) as well as current trends and best industry practices.
The board’s responsibilities include reviewing BC Management’s annual BCM study to ensure topics are relevant and of significant interest both globally and locally, document any potential assumptions within the study, select an annual awareness topic, participate in reviewing data points relevant to the chosen awareness topic, participate in writing the Exclusive Board Review and generating awareness of Business Continuity trends and research data. The Exclusive Board Review is a complimentary report made available to all study participants who complete the program management section of the study. This report is written by BC Management’s International Benchmarking Advisory Board exclusively for study participants.
Credentials/ Experience Desired:
- 10 + years expertise in business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency management, risk management, crisis management and/or governance.
- Seeking recognized leaders within the designated regions.
- Candidates possessing a wide range of expertise will be preferred.
- Must be fluent in English
This is an unpaid board membership position. Board members recognize the value they bring to the industry in assessing BC Management’s annual study, assessing data points to identify trends and correlating factors and providing a leading, complimentary report benefiting study participants. The International Benchmarking Advisory Board is recognized on the BC Management website as well as in our complimentary reports.
