Position: Director, Enterprise Crisis Management

* Candidates should have 15+ years Business Continuity/ Crisis Management expertise coupled with a Bachelor Degree and CBCP certification.
Key role responsible for the providing complex strategic thought leadership to the company-wide processes, leading and directing the company's efforts to develop, implement, test, document and maintain crisis management, business continuity (BC) and emergency response plans across the enterprise, and ensuring linkage between all crisis response and recovery plans. In addition, identifying and implementing functional "Best Practices" (internal/external), and creating and maintaining cross-functional relationships on corporate wide initiatives and strategies and responsible for interacting with Executives, Senior Management and Key Business personnel on achieving high-level strategic initiatives.
Corporate Crisis Management:
•Provides complex strategic thought leadership to the corporate-wide enterprise risk management process, leads and directs the company's efforts of business continuity and crisis management strategies globally, partners with the senior executives on the Crisis Management Team as well as across the business on specific aspects of those strategies and oversees the implementation of those strategies.
•Identifies and implements functional "Best Practices" (internal/external)
•Plans, coordinates and manages activities of the Crisis Management Team (CMT), which is responsible for oversight and governance of the company's business continuity and crisis preparedness plans and programs.
•Proactively identify, reports and leads resolution of high-impact risks, gaps and corrective action plans.
•Ensures regular review by the CMT of the company's BCP and other emergency/crisis response plans. Follows through to address/resolve action plans and issues identified through CMT review.
•Ensures hierarchy of crisis management within business processes, functions and facilities worldwide.
•Ensures crisis notification processes and tools are exercised and available for immediate activation.
Business Continuity Planning and Response:
•Identifies company-wide business continuity and other vulnerabilities and coordinates across functional lines so that potential points of failure are addressed expeditiously and effectively.
•Assesses the BC implications of proposed technological or organizational changes and coordinates revisions to existing BC plans and procedures as needed.
•Provides consulting and guidance to functional business units/key business processes in the design, development, maintenance and implementation of business continuity plans to ensure those business operations can continue under all circumstances.
•Leads company-wide contingency-planning activities, including all facets of planning, exercising, implementation and documentation.
•Ensures BC activation and notification processes and tools are exercised and available for immediate use.
•Designs and documents BC recovery site command centers, roles and activities, including but not limited to facilities, locations, standards, equipment and processes.
•In the event of a disruption to business continuity, manages day-to-day operational response to event (e.g., sets up command center, coordinates relocation of employees).
•Provides 24x7 on-call support for any emergency that may require activation of all or part of the BCP. In the event BC activation is required, serves as the liaison between the CMT and the BCP teams.
•Creates and documents business continuity activation processes. Through regular exercising, ensures recovery site command centers are exercised and available for immediate activation.
•Ensures understanding of business continuity issues and assists the business areas in building capability to address these issues effectively.
•Creates and continuously improves planning and exercising strategy and processes to ensure that business continuity plans function as intended and that they are current.
•Produces functional/process scorecards that accurately reflect results of exercises and current status of plans.
•Monitors functional, process and location-specific exercises, ensures that all areas exercise on a regular basis and ensures that appropriate follow-up action items are completed.
•Specifically, ensures all GO employees and other occupants know how to react in the event the BC plan is activated or another crisis occurs that affects the building and/or its occupants.
•Provides input to budget (both capital and expense) requirements for all BCP activities.
•Works closely with Disaster Recovery leaders to ensure consistency between RTO (recovery time objectives) and RPO (recovery point objectives) for systems and criticality tiers for business functions. Ensures business RTO and RPO requirements are communicated and addressed by DR program.
•Conducts post-event review and analysis, comparing results to plans and identifying gaps and corrective action plans.
Crisis Response and Preparedness:
•Ensures effective governance of the company's crisis management plans via the company's Crisis Response Teams (CRTs) and overarching crisis communication plan.
•Ensures that the company is able to effectively respond to emergencies and crisis situations via CRTs that have viable, tested response plans and processes.
•Ensures consistency among various Company CRTs relative to documentation content, effectiveness, overlaps and handoffs.
•Collaborates with CRT leads to present, resolve and implement, as appropriate, topics/issues identified by the CMT.
•Leads contingency-planning activities, including all facets of planning, exercising, implementation, and documentation.
•Ensures the design, development and operating procedures for incident command centers, including locations, standards, equipment and processes.
•Through regular exercising, ensures incident command centers are exercised and available for immediate activation.
Years and Type of Experience:
•15+ years of experience in developing and implementing business continuity and crisis management/response programs to include 10+ years of risk evaluation and control, business impact analysis, business continuity and crisis management strategy development, emergency response and operations, design and administration of disaster exercises and drills, and development and implementation of technology and business process recovery strategies or related experience required.
•Experience dealing with geographically dispersed domestic and international operations and technical environments preferred.
•Hands-on experience managing actual corporate-wide business continuity and/or crisis events against published plans preferred.
•Experience selecting and managing outsource service providers for BC and/or DR activities preferred.
•Experience overseeing corporate incident response team (CIRT) management, establishing a CIRT and a corporate crisis response center preferred.

•Strong analytical and decision-making skills, including communicating risk and owning decisions made and outcomes.
•Excellent presentation and communication skills; Articulate and persuasive in both oral and written communication at all levels in the Company
•Ability to assess processes and systems to identify key control activities, determine whether they are functioning properly, and identifying and implementing corrective actions when indicated

•Master's degree or other certification preferred.
•Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) certification required.
