All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Successful candidates must have 8-10+ years proven experience with developing or maturing an enterprise-wide program to support the business continuity lifecycle, including maintaining continuity policies, procedures and systems within a dedicated organization.
The successful candidate will, plan and manage the work of a unit tasked with managing major elements of the corporate resiliency program. The unit may focus on activities related to resiliency risk, controls and compliance management, incident management, crisis management and/or business continuity management. Responsible for setting business strategies, prioritizing business processes, and directing and organizing activities for responsible functional areas within the resiliency program.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
•Accountable for overall planning, directing and organizing activities for responsible functional areas and ensures their effective operation.
•Maintains expert knowledge of the organization's processes, hazards, resiliency risks and vulnerabilities. May interface with technology, risk management and incident management leadership to ensure appropriate development of strategies necessary to continue operations at set levels of expectations or with engineering and operations leadership to ensure appropriate development of a facility and/or site-specific hazard assessment and emergency classification procedures.
•Develops policies and approves procedures and systems required for coordinating, maintaining and enhancing the overall resiliency mission.
•Directs, plans and conducts a wide range of complex resiliency drills and exercises, to assess whether emergency response, crisis management, business continuity and technology recovery strategies and procedures are effective.
•Completes and communicates risk assessments that includes the identification and analyses of threats, vulnerabilities, business priorities, critical dependencies and cumulative impacts to the Corporation during a business disruption.
•Provides high-level and technical reports based on the expert interpretation of analyzed data.
•May ensure proper levels of governance and reporting are in place to provide transparent status of resiliency risks and controls to management.
•Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training.
•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
•8+ years of related experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
•Subject matter expertise of business continuity principles, strategies and best practices with practical experience in developing and maintaining business continuity plans, conducting business impact assessments, and organizing and overseeing business continuity exercises.
•Knowledge and experience in preparing and delivering presentations to various levels of management.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create collaborative business relationships. Ability to effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
