A client of BC Management is seeking a successful candidate for their BC & Risk Manager role. The Business Continuity & Risk Manager is responsible for the development and management of the Company’s Business Continuity Program which includes crisis management, department recovery and support of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan. This position will support the overall Risk Management functions including the design and procurement of the insurance program, contract review and Enterprise Risk Management. This hybrid role provides the opportunity to work on the continuum of managing risk across the entire organization.
Business Continuity Planning – 50%
•Advise, consult, and assist business partners and support teams with the development, acceptance, publication, and implementation of business continuity plans.
•Plan, coordinate, and direct all BCP/DR testing activities,covering all plan types, strategies and stages.
•Assist in support and implementation of the BCP software tools and applications, used across the Company to conceive, build, maintain and execute business continuity plans.
•At time of incident, assist with the identification, management, and implementation of continuity plans (crisis management, department recovery and disaster recovery).
•As required by the situation, develop, implement (and in some situations, present) programs and materials to improve general business continuity awareness within the Company.
•Duties as assigned by Risk Director.
Risk Management – 50%
•Identify and evaluate risks that may adversely affect the Company. Monitor values/exposures for reporting to insurers including renewal data and insurance applications.
•Assist in contract review including customer contracts, lease review and construction-related agreements.
•Support implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management framework including process design and senior management exposure.
•Duties as assigned by Director.
Desired Skills & Experience, Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Business. Business continuity planning certification a highly desired.
•Five to seven years of business continuity planning responsibility, prior knowledge and experience with risk management a plus.
•Deep proven knowledge of IT systems, structures, etc. which are relevant to data center recovery.
•Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with senior management.
•Ability to bridge strategic and managerial level responsibilities with administrative functions.
•Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as needed.
